Queens Borough President Helen Marshall officially opened the Queens Tourism Center - located in a retired subway car - outside Borough Hall, Tuesday, January 8th. The recovered subway car will now be used to provide information about government offices and a smorgasbord of cultural and recreational attractions in Queens. The center will be opened weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 The number 7 train has been dubbed the International Express for all the right reasons. It takes you from Times Square and Grand Central in
  Manhattan to Flushing in Queens where the Far East meets the west in an
  explosion of eastern cultures. Get off at stops in between and discover
  such cultural gems at PS1 Contemporary Art Center, the Noguchi Museum or
  Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City. The stops in Woodside offer
  Irish pubs and German restaurants alongside several houses of worship that
  serve English, Korean, Latino and Chinese worshipers' something in the same
  building. Jackson Heights, modeled as a gardens city, combines an
  urban setting with country flair, and is now home to a large South Asian and
